Rotary Hike

Sunday I woke up early to go on a hike. I thought that it would be the four families in the rotation, but when we arrived there were a lot more people then what I had been expecting. Several entire Clubs were there. It was a nice hike. A few gurgling mountain streams that dropped off into small waterfalls, here and there. An exciting rope bridge, and my favorite, fun people to talk to. We had a big important sounding lunch at which all the exchange students were separated and therefore quite bored. After we had finished eating I offered to take the kids at my table outside. Unfortunately, only two of them were brave enough to go and I lost one on the way out. As I got up through the other exchange students followed. So there we were a bunch of foreigners playing games with Brian, the eight-year-old son of my club's president. Brian actually had really good English and it was good to get everyone outside. Also, we got cool Rotary hats and hand towels from this hike so hey, I think it was a Saturday well spent.
